Recently a National Newspaper aired a story that Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu had wasted 100 Crore for unwanted expenses despite the state being in severe funds crunch. And now Chandrababu is gearing up to feed more money to his hungry MLAs.
The state government had decided
The state government had decided to give 2 Crore fund to each Assembly segment which can be used by the MLAs for various development works. It is an open secret that these works will go to the MLA or his men and most of this fund will be pocketed.
Telugu Desam Party is not in power
Telugu Desam Party is not in power for about 10 years and adding to the the huge expenses in the recent elections, made the MLAs cash strapped. This special fund will ease them out of financial issues for the time being. Interestingly, this fund will only be allocated to selected constituencies.
By this rule, the government will rule out the chances of any help to the opposition YSR Congress. Needless to say the selected constituencies will be only that of Telugu Desam. This is also a way to suffocate opposition MLAs and force them to join the ruling party.
