Chandrababu Naidu after the last cabinet meeting, instructed ministers to open Facebook and Twitter accounts and be active in the social media. As for now, only four ministers, Yanamala Ramakrishnudu, Devineni Umamaheshwar Rao, Ganta Sirnivasa Rao and Acchan Naidu have their Facebook accounts noted as active. The ministers do not operate themselves but the accounts are being managed by the staff of the respective ministers. No other Ministers in the cabinet has Twitter account for now.

Naidu wants to make his cabinet colleagues active on social networking sites to improve Transparency and accountability in the government, as the ministers come in to direct contact with the people.

The Ministers also agreed to follow the directions of Naidu. Once all the ministers forayed in to social media, they will be responding to the queries made by the people on daily basis and should forward the complaints to the concerned officials for a quick response from them. Even Naidu is in plan to digitize all complaints received and to evaluate the performance of his ministers and senior officials.
