TRS is not in a position to face direct election after tasting mixed results in recently concluded MLC elections in Telangana. TRS is trying to drag GHMC elections as along as possible. Political future of Kadiam Srihari has hanged in the balance. Chief Minister KCR appointed him as Dy. Chief Minister for the state after sacking Rajaiah from the cabinet.
Kadiam was elected to the Parliament from Warangal Segment in 2014 General elections. He should be elected as MLA or MLC within 6 months after taking the charge of Deputy Chief Minister of the state. In Telangana, EC issued notification to fill 6 MLC seats through MLA election. TRS can easily win 4 of them.
Sending Kadiam to legislative council as MLC is not big issue for TRS but facing direct election is an issue for TRS. Election for Warangal Parliament is inevitable if Kadiam elected to Legislative Council. Warangal is reserved Segment where Madigas dominated among all voters. By sacking Rajaiah without any strong reason, Madiga community is fire on KCR. Kadiyam is not completely related to Madiga Community. Kadiam has agreed that he is from sub caste of Madiga. As per the buzz, TRS seeks to send Kadiam to the Parliament to avoid the risk.
