Revanth Reddy's arrest in the case of trying to bribe a nominated MLA to vote in favour of TDP-BJP candidate is one of the biggest black marks in the history of Telugu Desam Party. However there are still some more Corruption stains in TDP history.

In 1983, the then Kukatpally MLA from Telugu Desam and Labour Minister, M.Rama Chander Rao was caught by police taking a bribe of 10000 Rupees. After that the then Chief Minister and TDP Founder, N Taraka Ramarao suspended him from the cabinet.

Later on in another occasion, a man was arrested trying to give money to Chandrababu Naidu himself. This will be a huge setback to Telugu Desam Party which is claiming itself as a crusader of anti-corruption campaign.
