A legal team of AP government has reportedly informed the state CM Chandrababu Naidu that the evidence which is gathered by means of a sting operation cannot be admissible before any court of law. The legal team has submitted its opinion to Naidu over the Revanth Reddy sting episode where in the TDP MLA was nabbed by Telangana’s ACB when he was offering a bribe of Rs 50 lakh to an independent MLA Elvis Stephenson.

Sources say that legal team expressed that the Telangana’s ACB  has made a mistake of not seeking Election Commission's permission for trapping a people's representative when actually the model of code conduct was in full force due to MLC polls.

Revanth episode was reportedly relieved

Naidu, who is spending sleepless nights after the Revanth episode was reportedly relieved to an extent after getting this opinion from legal team. Legal experts reportedly pointed out that the Supreme Court had earlier issued a ruling stating that sting operation is not a legal method for procure evidence.

Naidu seems to be particularly happy

Moreover Chief election officer Bhanwarlal not being kept in the loopis expected to land ACB’s DG AK Khan in trouble. The legal team revealed that ACB has no mandate while using any evidence that has been given by a third party. Naidu seems to be particularly happy with this legal opinion and is now working to get bail for Revanth Reddy at the earliest.
