Narendra Modi right after taking over as Prime Minister of India launched Swachh Bharat campaign on Gandhi Jayanthi Oct 2nd and promised to turn India clean within five years.
In order to capture the attention of everyone and appeal to youth, he followed the way 'ice bucket challenge' etc and nominated top celebrities from various fields and asked them to participate in Swachh Bharat mission and then inturn nominate some more.
Swachh India become after 'Swachh Bharat'
Many celebrities participated enthusiastically but people are hearing about its progress only when some or the other celebrity wield a broom and do some hulchul on Holidays. This is making many wonder and question "How much Swachh India became after 'Swachh Bharat'?"
Many poor people don't have toilets and other basic facilities and so they do all their daily chores in public. Though one cannot blame them, this hits the swachh bharat campaign started with good intention hard. To the top of it apathy of municipal authorities to keep cities clean and green spoils the entire mission. People are of the opinion that had municipal officials been diligent in their duties, then there wouldn't have been any need for Swachh Bharat.
