Child abuse is rampant not only in India but across the world. It is now coming out that Hyderabad, common capital of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh which is renowned as Cyber City and IT hub is now becoming hot hub for sexual abuse. 


Save the Children NGO


Report published by Price Water Coopers and Save the Children NGO, came with shocking findings that more than 1000 street children are in Hyderabad and of them more than 20 percent faced harassment from police. 

 

Even more shocking is 33% of their belongings were found stolen. Around 38% of street children feel threat to their life. Report informs that there are no steps taken by Government of Telangana. More than 14% of children are sexually abused. 

 

It was found that after Delhi, Hyderabad, Secunderabad and Visakhapatnam railway stations have highest inflow of children. Many children don't have even shelter at night and more than 8 million are living in urban slums. His is more than five the combined population of five north east states.
