One of the main planks of election campaign of TDP was a corruption free administration in the state after bifurcation. This ensured groundswell of support for the party vis a vis credibility of Jagan Mohan Reddy. Eventually TDP swept to power after a decade of political wilderness.
But now this halo seems to be under threat with reports of widespread corruption in the rank and file of TDP ministries. One such minister who is under scanner in media reports is Acchan Naidu from Vizag district who is a key leader of TDP in this region with a plum ministry post.

However, sources say that he is reminding people of Dharmana Prasad Rao of United AP who was a Congress minister and now he is with Jagan. Dharmana was accused of unbridled corruption during his tenure and using funds of MNREGA for laying roads to his farmhouse was one of the sore marks for him.
Now Acchan Naidu seems to have done the same this time where MNREGA tasks were undertaken for laying a brand new road to his farmhouse in Vizianagaram region. Along with this, there are other allegations surfacing against him and already there is steady anti-incumbency building up against him here.
