Vigorous slogan shouting coupled with aggressive body language marked the showdown over `Lalitgate' in the Lok Sabha yesterday saw BJP, which had been on the back foot for all the monsoon session, hitting back at Congress. It involved keen legal arguments as well as sharp oratory to highlight UPA's record of scams.

While non-NDA parties like BJD, AIADMK, TRS, INLD and AAP slammed Congress for fully disruptionist tactics, initially it was Foreign minister Sushma Swaraj, who was at the receiving end of Rahul Gandhi's allegation that her family had benefitted monetarily from former ex-IPL chief Lalit Modi.

Swaraj breathed fire saying

Swaraj breathed fire saying she wanted to tell Rahul Gandhi, who loves going on vacations to read the history of his family during next vacation. She said Rahul should come back and ask 'Mamma (Sonia), how much money did the family get in the Quattrocchi incident, involving the Bofors bribery case.

Swaraj then said it was Rajiv Gandhi who was lenient in the case Warren Anderson, an important figure in the Bhopal gas tragedy case, as he was allowed to get away from India. Even Arun Jaitley said that the Gandhis have mastered the art of living very comfortably without working for a living while others earn a living.
