Starting from August 27, the Special Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) court would be reportedly dedicating one full day every week, and that too for exclusively hearing the disproportionate assets (DA) case which is being taken up against YSRCP chief YS Jaganmohan Reddy .

Principal special judge M Venkata Ramana reportedly announced this decision following a directive from the Hyderabad High Court recently which had asked the trial court for completing this case hearing expeditiously. The CBI also filed a memo for regular hearing in the case recently.

This follows a similar directives from SC for all courts in India that they must complete trial proceedings more quickly if MPs, ministers and MLAs were involved.  Since several accused already filed petitions seeking  their discharge from the case, the court would be deciding all such pleas.
