After getting many representations from thousands of employees of 90 public sector undertakings, the AP government has reportedly decided to toughen its stand. The chief secretary of AP, IYR Krishna Rao on Saturday has written to Union home secretary and department of personnel and training (DoPT) in this regard.

He had stated that some unreasonable and inexplicable actions by Telangana state has resulted in the current situation. A letter has also been sent to the Shiela Bide Committee, currently overseeing the sharing of assets as well as liabilities between two states, requesting not to move any further regarding the process.

This decision of Andhra Pradesh will be reportedly stalling the ongoing division process, that has already been delayed by two months. According to the Reorganisation Act-2014, the process would be actually completed within one year.  This decision by AP government will also be affecting the work of Kamalanathan Committee, that has supervising the division of employees between Telugu speaking states.
