Generally gold and cash are more valuable things and robbers normally try to steal from people. However in a shocking incident robbers stole not gold but onions from a market in Mumbai.This incident once again highlighted the soaring prices of essential commodities and how common people are facing difficulties in meeting both ends every day.

Police told that more than 700 kgs of Onion stock worth Rs 50000 were stolen from a wholesale trader shop situated in Sion area in Mumbai. Anand Naik,owner of the shop said he found 14 sacks of onions missing when he opened the shop on Sunday morning. Police registered case of onion theft at the wadala Truck Terminal police station and they say it as a very surprising case. Onions sky rocketed to Rs 80/kg across the country.
