Here's the breaking news about the sudden tremors that struck the Srikakulam district today in the morning around 7.20 am which lasted for about 2-10 seconds. The people in the areas have ran out of the houses to secure their lives before any destruction happens.
It is said that the people knew that the tremors hit after few objects in the houses fell down to ground and immediately ran onto the roads. According to the reports, the mandals that were shaken with the tremors were Vajrapukothuru, Mandasa, Sompeta and Kaviti mandals.
Villages such as Akkulapalli, Haripuram, Mamidipalli, Rajam, Baruva, Kanchali were effected. However there was no major damage reported in the district. Well, these sudden shocks are a signal for a big one ahead claimed a few analysts.
