Andhra Pradesh CM Chandra Babu Naidu is claiming credit for bringing Godavari waters to Krishna District and is asking people to celebrate the achievement. He asked TDP ministers and cadre to promote this achievement as his victory among people of Andhra Pradesh.
Chandra Babu cannot claim entire credit
However analysts say Chandra Babu cannot claim entire credit and some of it goes to former CM YS.Rajasekhar Reddy.They say construction of Pattiseema project alone didnot bring Godavari water to Krishna district and Pattiseema is only part of the larger plan. Chandra Babu started Tadipudi Ettipotala project as CM of united AP. However he didnot allot funds to the project except salaries for the employees. Only YS.Rajasekhar Reddy after coming to power put the project on fast track.
People would have benefited from the project but after YSR,Congress leaders ignored the project. Polavaram right side project was started by YSR and but for the project godavari waters wouldn't have come to Krishna delta. Chandra Babu completed what YSR started. YSR completed 80% of the Tadipudi and Polavaram right canals and so only if Chandra Babu completed Pattiseema,he gets the complete credit for the project.
