Thanks to the aggressive Aakarsha plans and other measures being taken by CM KCR, political opposition in Telangana are facing the heat. One by one each party is losing many of its leaders to KCR, who are also taking a major part of the cadre with them towards the pink party, which is easily getting cadre without hard work.

This has united three decade old rivals Congress and TDP for the first time, in Telangana region. Although tacit understandings between political parties are common, both rivals sharing stage at Shankarpally in Ranga Reddy region openly indicated the future political winds in Telangana although it has to be seen whether it will be for long term.

TDP MLA from Rajendra Nagar, Prakash Goud undertook a padayathra from Chevella to Shankarpally which ended in a massive rally in the region. All leaders were in full attendance to impressive crowds and Congress party too lent it support. This was aimed at pressurizing TRS government not to go ahead with so called realignment of Pranahita Chevella project.

The realignment has excluded Ranga Reddy district completely and the government says it will fulfill RR district needs through Palamuru Lift Irrigation scheme from Srisailam backwaters. For the first time, Sabitha Indra Reddy and other Congress leader shared dais with TDP leaders while Sabitha patted Revanth’s shoulders as he was delivering his speech. A clear indication of opposition uniting!
