Chandrababu Naidu
Government has decided to lease some luxury villas and flats from private
builders in Vijayawada and they will be given to ministers and senior IAS
officers for accommodation.
This step was taken by
Naidu Government to save some money. Usually when IAS officers and ministers
visit Vijayawada for official meetings, the hotel charges cost them a lot.
These apartments and
Villas will reduce the cost considerably. As an initial phase, the government
takes 245 flats in the apartments and 26 villas. The government has offered to
pay Rs.11 per sq.ft an extra amount of Rs.4 per sq.ft.
Sources also said that there will be annual hike of 5 Lakhs per annum. The Government also requested the builders to surrender all the homes before 1st of October.
