In what is being seen as a departure from convention, the TRS party has reportedly decided to contest the vacant Narayankhed Assembly bypoll that has been necessitated by the death of the sitting Congress MLA P Kishta Reddy. The TRS has reportedly  ignoring the T-Congress request seeking an unopposed election.

Now this would be the first by-election in Telangana state that would prove to be tough face-off between the TRS and the principal opposition party . Telangana PCC chief Uttam Kumar Reddy has written letter to CM K Chandrasekhar Rao requesting again for an unopposed election.


But TRS leaders are saying that the party would field its candidate in the by-elections which are expected in December along with Warangal LS bypoll. The party says it is particular about development of Narayankhed. It was Congress stronghold ad Narayankhed has never elected any TRS leader in the past.


Now the ruling party wants to make point to win the seat. Out of the ten Assembly constituencies in the districts of  Medak, TRS won eight in 2014 polls with Congress securing Narayankhed and Zaheerabad. senior Congress leader J Geetha Reddy lamented that TRS wants every Assembly seat in the district which is represents by the CM.
