Right after the crushing defeat, Congress has been trying hard to win back people with various programs posing as if they are fighting for the special status, taking up farmers issues,land pooling and suicides.Now displaying sheer sycophancy, Congress leaders fired Diwali rockets tying them to doves at Kovvur in West Godavari district to welcome APCC president Raghuveera Reddy. Md. Rafi Ulla Baig, president West Godavari Congress arranged such welcome.
One is not sure whether any birds were injured. PBK.Acharyulu, welfare officer of Animal Welfare Board of India said “The culprits should be booked under Section 11 of Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act, 2001.The practice is highly unethical and even violates Article 51 of Indian Constitution where every citizen must be compassionate to birds and animals. I wonder what kind of message the Congress leaders intend to give to the young generation by resorting to such kind of cruelty to doves which represent peace.”
