The AP government's focus towards innovation and startups has finally taken off with IT giant Hewlett Packard along with global networking heavyweight Cisco and Nasscom expressing interest to start them in the state. This was announced during the launch of e-governance initiative e-Pragati in Vijayawada on Friday.

 

The top managements of HP, Cisco and Nasscom have made announcements regarding setting up of innovation hubs in AP. HP is planning to  develop an innovation hub in AP for encouraging entrepreneurship. It will be inking an MoU with the AP government be next week.

 

HP would also be starting around four e-health centres and 10 mobile health centres with cloud services. Cisco India also announced establishing its India’s largest innovation centre in AP  and also expanding its net academy to AP in the future days.

 

Cisco would also be starting a Centre of Excellence (CoE) to nurture and enhance local innovation and expected to make a joint announcement soon with the government which would up and running in three month period!
