Andhra Pradesh Rythu sangam president blamed that government is exporting onion from Nashik, Maharashtra, which eventually made the local businessmen to stop buying onion from local farmers. He added that, government has announced the decision in a hurry, without any conclusive reason.

He further added that, since last four years farmers were in huge losses, first time this year when they were about to reap benefits, government quashed their dream. It was reported that, onion stock in the market was spoiled due to incessant rains, though the onions are not spoiled but the dealers are reluctant to buy it because they are wet.

The protesting farmers blocked traffic demanding the government to give support of 2500 rs per quintal at once.
