ACB netted and arrested eight employees of insurance medical services scam that could be worth 300 crores. They allege irregularities in the supply of medicines, surgical kits, and equipment to employees insurance hospitals.
ACB (Anti-corruption bureau) has unearthed an insurance medical services scam in state, director, and joint director along with six employees were arrested on the basis of irregularities in the supply of medicines and medical equipment to state employees insurance hospitals, they quoted and forged higher amounts for medicine, claiming as emergency medicine, they reportedly made huge amount of money on purchases.
Officials raided at least 30 locations before zeroing on the employees, arrested people included Director, joint Director, Assistant Director, MD of surgical equipment supplier and four other employees. The scam is said to be over 300 crores.
Insurance medical services staff arrested from their respective premises were taken to ACB headquarters in Banjara hills for questioning, after that they were produced in court. The probe by vigilance department hinted that Director had identified those firms from where the medicines were procured on higher prices.
