Accordingly Clay murti of Ganesha is brought to home or pandaals for 1, 3, 5 or 10 days as per their will and capability to serve the Lord. The size of the moorti is very diverse, it starts with 15 inch and it can be up to 40 feet high. People of all class celebrate this festival with immense enthusiasm as they have waited a complete year to welcome the Lord.
It is believed that ‘Modak’ is loved by Lord Ganesha, and so all the believers and followers across the India offers ‘modak’ to Lord Ganesha. The Lord is immersed on the day of Visarjan, it’s very emotional moment for everyone as they will have to wait for one more year to celebrate the festival, to experience his aura and bliss in the home, pandals. People keep on reciting ‘Ganpati Bappa Mourya, Pudchya varshi lavkar Ya’ continuously while they are plying towards the destination for immersion.
The last offering during that festive season is
done usually via camphor, flowers and coconut. Ganesh Chaturthi use to be an
