This month is dedicated to the Deities of Worship. It starts on december 17 and ends on january 13. Our one earth year is considered one day for Devas. So for the deva loka this month is considered the Devas for morning time and Brahma mugurtha .
Generally morning time is worship and meditation for apt. For this reason there are no festivals and functions in this month only deities for worship. This whole month is dedicated worship. Carnatic music concerts are held this month.
The worship called Raapatthu and Pagalpatthu is celebrated in Sri Rangam Temple for 21 days. Thiruvempavai is also recited in all temples of the Mornings. The most important worships this month are Paavai Nombu, Vaikunda Ekadesi, Hanuman jayanthi and Arudara Dharshan. The month of Sabarimala will end in the pilgrim season .
