We already said that there were lots of untold stories in Ramayan. Even Hindus who have been so clear with their religious views were clueless regarding few topics. Very few experts have read both Valmiki and Tulsidas version of Ramayanam.
One among the topic which most of them don't know is what happened when Rama was exiled. Everyone just knew that Kind Dasarathan died and Urmila's deep sleep for 14 long years. When Rama was exiled, Bharath and Chatrugan were at their maternal relative's place.
On hearing the news they came back to Ayodhya and Bharath abused his own mother for her cunningness. Mantra tried to console him and he brutally attacked Manthra. Bharath then discarded Kaikeyi and cursed Manthra.
Based on guru Vashishtha’s advice they went to Rama to inform father's death. Bharath later on pledged to place Lord Rama's 'Paduka' on throne and he moved on with his Royal duties. Due to his actions, his wife Mandhavi too abandoned all luxuries.
