The Story of Rama and Shabari is an inspiring example from Hindu Mythology. The character of Sabari is an epitome of patience, perseverance, devotion, purity and spirit of service. But it should be noted that the meeting between Rama and Sabari lasted only for few minutes.

But it contained a decisive phase. Shabari belonged to a hunter's family. Even though she was born in a clan which used to kill animals ruthlessly, she was against those. She even resisted eating Non-vegetarian food. When shabari was wandering the forest she approached Sage Mathanga for food.

Knowing that she was a great soul, she was invited inside the ashram and she was assigned to clean the ashram. She continued her deeds and she earned a great fortune of having darshan of Lord Sri Rama.

The sage blessed her with those moments. Rama had known the divine task awaiting him in the ashram of sage Matanga and therefore they both entered the hermitage. Shabari's innocent devotion pleased Lord Rama and he granted her liberation before he left the place.
