Easter's celebration date changes every year as it commemorates the resurrection of Jesus from the tomb. It is usually celebrated on the first Sunday after the full moon and as per Bible, Jesus who died resurrected and that was celebrated as Easter.

This year as per the Gregorian calendar, Easter will fall on Sunday, April 1, and, in the Julian calendar, it will fall on Sunday, April 8.   Jesus was crucified on a Friday two days before and it is called as 'Good Friday'. Maundy Thursday is the one before Easter and it is the day of the last supper.

On the night of Maundy Thursday Jesus was betrayed by his own disciple Judas. The crucifixion of Jesus Christ and his death is known as Holy Friday, Great Friday and Black Friday. The day before Easter is called as Holy Saturday and it commemorates the day that Jesus' body lay in the tomb.

Easter eggs are special and Easter eggs represent the resurrection of Jesus. The outside of the egg looks dead, but inside there's a new life which is going to break out.  Some Christians even dye boiled eggs to represent the blood of Christ.
