Different dussehra celebration across the India

Dussehra is celebrated in different ways in different parts of our country, for some its burning of Ravana, for few others it may be Garbha, here are the famous destinations of unique dussehra festival celebrations.

    dussehra in Kullu, a city in state of Himachal Pradesh, people carry idols on the head to the fair ground where they meet main deity, this is seven day festival.

     Dussehra in Gujarat, here they celebrate nine days of Navratri, they dance on traditional Garbha dressed up in traditional attires. Garbha continues for whole night.

      dussehra in Delhi, here the festival is celebrated in connection with Lord Ram defeating the evil king Ravana. People gather in large number to burn the effigy of Ravana.

     Dasara in Mysore, in this city of Karnataka, Dasara as they call, the royal palace is decorated, with elephant procession, the city lit ups with celebration all around.

      durga puja in kolkata is most famous festival in the city, they put up pandals of Goddess  Durga for nine days. Music, dance continues for nine days, on 10th day idols of Durga is immersed in water.
