Sunrisers Hyderabad with the heroics of Rashid Khan defeated Kolkota Knight Riders by 13 runs and cruised in to IPL-11 finals to play against CSK on 27th May at Wankhade Stadium, Mumbai .
Rashid Khan excelled in all fields displaying his all round performances by scoring unbeaten 34 of 10 balls , claiming 3 wickets for 19 runs, Two splendid catches in pressure situation, and a brilliant run out to dismiss dangerous Nitish Rana that earned him the Man of the Match for his wonderful achievement.
KKR looked cruising well at one stage to restrict SRH for a moderate total, but the dearth over by young Prasidh Krishna their fiery bowler could not contain Rashid Khan who stroked 24 runs to take SRH to defendable score of 174.
Earlier SRH started of well putting in 56 runs for the first wicket and thereafter runs were difficult to come due to economical bowling by KKR Spinners who spun a web around the opponents . Kuldeep Yadav, Sunil Narine , Piyush Chawla claimed 5 wickets in between . Shikhar Dhawan and Wridhman Saha chipped in with 35 and 34 runs respectively, while Shakib ul Hassan looked dangerous scoring 28 runs until a brilliant run out by Kuldeep Yadav ended his run.
It was the last over carnage by Rashid Khan who scored 24 runs of Prasidh Krishnas 20th Over the turning point of SRH innings.
KKR Chasing the target started of dangerously putting on 40 runs in 3.2 overs and 87 in 9th over, but a brilliant runout by Rashid Khan ended Nitish Ranas innings , there after SRH spinners in Shakib ul Hassan and Rashid Khan put brakes on KKR to further proceed towards the target. After the dismissal of Skipper Dinesh Karthik , Chris Lynn and Andrew Russel the chapter for KKR to cruise to the finals only remained as a dream, and a great win for SRH in front of Kolkota crowd.
It was Kane Williamson Cool Captaincy and his Fiery Knocks that proved Valuable to Sun-risers Hyderabad. SRH: 174/7 in 20 overs KKR: 161/9 in 20 overs.
