Reportedly former captain of the Indian cricket team and newly appointed bcci President sourav ganguly was greeted by a large number of fans at the bengaluru international airport on Wednesday. Meanwhile Ganguly was overwhelmed by the love his fans have bestowed upon him and expressed his gratitude in return.
Ganguly shared a picture of him on twitter standing at the check-in counter of the city airport and can be seen surrounded by people "At the check in airport of bangalore love of people makes u feel so grateful (sic)". Furthermore the selfie went viral on Twitter. At the time of publishing, Sourav Ganguly’s tweet had over 82,000 likes, and over 4800 re-tweets. Perhaps Ganguly was in the karnataka capital where he met his former teammate and current head of the National cricket Academy (NCA) rahul Dravid.
Moreover Ganguly, along with other officials of the Board, also visited the proposed site for the new NCA building near the bengaluru international airport on the outskirts of the city. Apparently the former Indian skipper has been on the go ever since his appointment as the bcci President. Within his first week of appointment, he convinced skipper virat kohli for the Day-Night Test following which he persuaded the bangladesh cricket Board (BCB) to turn the second Test of their upcoming tour to india into a pink-ball affair.
