Former west indies captain Brian Lara is a fan of india batsman KL Rahul. Brian Lara, who is in india to participate in the Road Safety World Series, has revealed that he just loves watching the karnataka batsman. Accordingly "India, with the fact that they produce so much international cricketers through their league has enhanced every single player who plays for India. I mean KL rahul is my favourite player in the world, I love watching him."

The 50 year old Lara also went on to talk about Rahul's technique and what he adores the most. "His technique and grace is just unbelievable. Of course, up there in the top three you've got virat kohli and rohit sharma but every time I see him (Rahul) facing a delivery, I just love it; his head is over the ball all the time, he has a technique that I wish I had." KL rahul was the top run-scorer in the T20I series against new zealand recently and the 2nd highest run-scorer in the following 3-match ODI series. Considering his form, his omission from the Test squad against new zealand raised a lot of questions. When asked about Rahul's place in the Test squad, the legendary west indies batsman said "He's got the technique. I don't know why he's not in the squad."

Moreover new zealand was a tough series for India. KL rahul has the technique for all forms of the game and for me more Test cricket than anything else. And if he performs so well in T20s and the 50-overs game, I think Test cricket is really where he's made for, he added about rahul, who last played a Test in september 2019. Talking to ESPNcricinfo, Brian Lara, the batsman with highest individual score in a Test innings, also spoke highly of india captain virat kohli and limited overs vice-captain rohit Sharma.
