Reportedly former india cricketer yuvraj singh has offered financial support as india continues to fight against the Covid-19 pandemic that has taken lives of over 70 people in the country and has infected more than 3,000. On sunday, yuvraj singh donated Rs 50 lakh to the prime minister Cares Fund and joined India''s other leading sportspersons who have been making contributions to combat the coronavirus.

 

Meanwhile, india cricketer harbhajan singh and his wife Getta Basra also pledged to donate ration for 5000 families in Jalandhar. Earlier, india skipper virat kohli and his wife and bollywood actress anushka sharma also pledged their supports towards PM-CARES Fund and maharashtra Chief Minister's Relief Fund without disclosing the amount.

 

rohit sharma also joined the cause as he donated a sum total of INR 80 lakh to help india get "back on feet".Out of the INR 80 lakh, rohit donated INR 45 lakh to the PM-CARES Fund, INR 25 lakh to cm Relief Fund while INR 5 lakh each towards Feeding india and welfare of stray dogs. india legend sachin tendulkar had also contributed Rs 25 lakh each to Prime Minister's Relief Fund and Chief Minister's Relief Fund in his bid to join the fight against COVID-19.
