Reportedly India's star cricketers have been home since march when the ODI series against south africa was called off as the world started taking precautionary measures against the rapidly spreading coronavirus. It is still not clear when india will resume playing cricket but at least some of the players are beginning to visit each other socially after months of lockdown. Rarely do India's top cricket players get so much time at home and it was a time they used to relax with family and doing things they normally don't get the chance to do.

Earlier on July 7, the Pandya brothers hardik and Krunal flew down to Ranchi to wish MS Dhoni on his birthday. However, well-placed sources confirmed dhoni did not have a birthday bash because of the Covid-19 pandemic. On July 8, shreyas iyer posted a picture of him chilling with virat kohli and the two apparently shared neer dosa and mushroom biryani and the two cricketers can be seen wearing face masks as they posed for the photo. kohli called it 'new picture norms with social distancing'.

Moreover virat kohli took to instagram and said Iyer had brought him some 'neer dosas' and thanked the delhi Capitals star's mom for sending them the 'delicious' meal. While kohli leads Royal Challengers bangalore, Iyer is captain of delhi Capitals. india last played international cricket in new zealand and then returned home for the ODI series against south Africa. However, the first match in Dharamshala was washed out due to rain before bcci decided to call off the entire series due to the Covid-19 pandemic.
