The 23rd match of ICC cricket World Cup 2019 took place between West Indies and bangladesh. bangladesh won the toss and opted to bowl. Chris Gayle who had huge expectations had another failure as he went for a 13 ball duck. West Indies never looked comfortable.
But later on, Heitmeyer and Shai Hope propelled the innings and they ended at 321/8. bangladesh faced a huge shock as they lost soumya Sarkar cheaply. But once again it was Shakib who scored a brilliant century and ensured his team wins comfortably.
He said, "It feels great. To stay at the wicket till the end was the most satisfying. I've been working on my batting and it's paying off. (On wanting to bat at 3) I know if I bat at 3 I'll get more opportunities, more time to bat. What happens sometimes if I bat at 5, is I'll come in at the 30th over or 40th over, which I felt is not ideal for me."
