Yuvraj Singh who twisted his ankle during World T20 went out of the World cup mid way. Now he will miss another two weeks of IPL 2016 too. Yuvi will play for Sunrisers Hyderabad this year and coach Tom Moody said that he will be not available for two weeks and he also indirectly hinted if the injury has not faded, he will continue to stay out of IPL.
Coach Tom Moody said, "A Player like Yuvraj Singh is so important to any team. He is a match winner and there is no doubt about it. But we have more players and our bench strength is strong. With Yuvraj being injured at this stage, you don't know what is around the corner - you need that depth in the squad.
We were good last year. Unfortunately we couldn't cross the finishing line. This year, we have raised the bar a little bit. We are confident with same squad and we are pleased with our team players. We have world class bowlers.
It is great to have Nehra as he is in peak of his form at the moment. Bangladesh bowler Mustafizur is also at his best.We have some exciting balance and we look forward."
