Yet another written script where chasing team won comfortably. Win the toss. Elect to bowl. Chase it comfortably. Gambhir won the toss, opted to bowl and he bundled the opposition for just 141. The problem with batting first in this edition of IPL is everyone is clueless about the par score.

The team batting second has all the time to analyze the score and make a strategy accordingly. And thus, the entire pressure shifts to the bowling department of the defending team. KXIP struggled right from the start against Morkel and Yadav. Spinners Sunil Narine and Piyush Chawla tightened the screws in the middle overs.

KXIP team had single digit scores except Shaun Marsh and Murali Vijay. Marsh scored 56 not out and he lifted the team to 138. Chasing 139 to win, Uthappa and Gambir gave a dream start. Both of them made 82 runs in 8 overs and Uthappa fell to Sahu's leg spin.

Some late blows delayed the victory, but they never troubled KKR. David Miller after the loss said, " It's disappointing. We didn't score enough runs, lost too many wickets upfront, and missed a few opportunities on the field. We're not far away from a win, we're close. I believe in the boys. I'm confident we can turn it around."
