Presently the Djokovic–Nadal rivalry is between tennis players Novak Djokovic and Rafael Nadal, who are engaged in a modern-day tennis rivalry. Some of their matches are considered to be classics and among the greatest matches of all time which includes the 2009 Madrid Masters Semifinal and 2013 French Open semi-final.
The 2012 Australian Open final has been commented as the greatest match ever played by some long-time tennis pundits, analysts, and former players and legends of the sport. The first ever meeting between the two occurred at the 2006 French Open in the quarterfinals, where Nadal prevailed after Djokovic was forced to retire with an injury in the third set.
Presently the Spaniard will set a new mark of 50 career titles on clay if he triumphs on Sunday, beating Guillermo Vilas' record, and was recovered from a sluggish start to beat Querrey 6-4 6-2.
Meanwhile the American Querrey has led 3-0 in the opening set and had a point to go 5-2 ahead but Nadal who is a winner in Monte Carlo and Barcelona has fought back to take it and has found the second plainer sailing. Kudos to Rafael for his achievement.
