Virat Kohli is continuing his dream run with the bat bulldozing opponents. On Monday his brilliance with the bat powered Royal Challengers Bangalore to crush host Kolkata Knight Riders at Eden Gardens.

Chasing a challenging target of 184 set by Kolkata Knight Riders, Royal Challengers Bangalore thanks to Virat Kohli overhauled it with eight balls to spare for the loss of one wicket. RCB which has to win all the matches to qualify for the playoffs is now in the fifth position with 12 points from 12 points.

Eden Gardens though home ground of KKR reverberated with the chants of 'Virat..Virat'. Kohili made batting look extremely easy despite suffering injury on the left hand while making acrobatic save during KKR's batting. Kohli scored unbeaten 75 (51b,5x4,3x6) and till now scored record 752 in 12 innings.

He in the process surpassed highest aggregate in a season set by his current teammate Chris Gayle and Michael Hussy who scored 7333 runs in 2012 and 2013 respectively.KKR earlier with the help of half centuries from Gautam Gambhir and Manish Pandey reached 183/5 but this was not enough to stop RCB thanks to Kohli.
