Former Australian Captain Steve Waugh has showered praises on Steve Smith's leadership. The 51 year old said Steve Smith is good as a captain in all three formats and he handles the burden well. He said, "I don't think he's made too many mistakes since he's taken over the captaincy.

It's been a huge learning curve but he also has the challenge of captaining three different forms of the game, which very few captains do these days. So I think the demands can easily be met. You have three different group of players coming in-and-out of the teams.

So, you need good people around you, you need good support from the coaches and from senior players. However, from what I've seen Steve seems to be handling the pressures very well. When you play, you get caught up with what's going on. It might be the ball you're using or whether it is playing in a day-night Test." Watch out this space for more updates.
