Rio sources have stated that the world famous Swimming champion and an American Michael Phelps has currently declared his retirement. Phelps has started participating in swimming right from his 15 years of age, which was from 2000.
By 2004, he has won his first medal at Athens Olympics and so far he has won around 22 Gold medals and till this Rio Olympics he has won 27 medals in his career. In this Rio Olympics he has won 4 Gold medals and I Silver medal.
He has felt that he has made an achievement and has decided to take retirement from swimming and has planned to spend time with his wife and new born kid Boomer.
Earlier during 2012, he has also announced that he is going to retire and due to some compulsion he has again participated in this Rio Olympics and he has told that this is his final decision. India is in Olympics competition from 1990 and so far it has won only 26 medals, but Phelps alone has won 27 medals.
