While Dipa Karmakar inspired all by storming to finals of the vaults in Gymnastics and then executing deadly produnova vault to near perfection to finish fourth and missed podium finish by a whisker,wrestler Sakshi Malik went on to win bronze medal by making a stunning comeback in wrestling.
Then came the biggest moment when PV.Sindhu became the youngest Indian and first woman to win silver in Badmintion womens final at the age of 21. Entire country gave rousing reception to the women power which saved the pride of India.

Sachin Tendulkar later had selfies with Dipa,Sakshi and Sindhu and Gopichand shared the snap tweeting "In company of champs who proved their mettle @Pvsindhu1 @SakshiMalik @DipaKarmakar & super coach #PullelaGopichand"
Sindhu sharing her delight said "I was promised by Sachin sir earlier that if I get a medal at the Olympics, he will gift me a BMW car. He kept his promised today, Thank you sir," Gopichand summarised India's performance at Rio Olympics saying "No more 'Save Girl Child', this time (in Rio) we were saved by girl child,"
Sakshi Malik said "This time in Rio I won bronze medal, but in Tokyo I will surely aim for gold," Sachin speaking to scribes said "I am proud to stand beside these sportspersons (pointing towards Sindhu, Sakshi and Dipa). They have brought laurels to the country," Dipa too expressed her delight on getting the luxury car.
