Sources have added that when India’s home season begins, one which comprises 13 Tests and a couple of One day International series, India coach Anil Kumble will also be keeping a close eye on fringe players, where New Zealand, England, Bangladesh and Australia will tour during what will be a long home season.

It is stated that Kumble is keen that the pool of players knocking on the doors apart from the established ones who will be in the national team are also closely monitored in terms of performance and rehabilitation in case of an injury.

Meanwhile Kumble had also asked for the rehab schedules of the injured cricketers to be closely monitored, and his buzzword for the rest of his tenure is ‘better communication’ across the board. Kumble is sure that if the Indian team has to move forward, all stakeholders will have to work together.

Sources have added that the Indian team has played good cricket at home but he wants to get different views on what is needed for them to do well overseas, like probably having more exposure trips for our bench strength.
