As per latest report Olympic silver medalist PV Sindhu will not participate in the Japan Open Super Series and will also skip the Korea Open Super Series, scheduled to begin on 27th September. Sindhu, India's first female athlete to win a silver medal at the Olympic Games is not skipping the two tournaments due to injury concerns.



 

Sources have stated that Sindhu, who has been felicitated by various sporting and political bodies ever since she has returned from Rio de Janeiro with a silver medal, will return to competitive action with the Denmark Open Super Series Premier, has scheduled to begin on 18th October at Odense Coach Pullela and Gopichand has confirmed as much while talking about Sindhu's withdrawal.

Presently Gopichand has said, she will be back for the Denmark Open and will also compete in the French Open next month and they had to make some changes in her schedule and the 21 year old also has two bronze medals to her name at the World Championships and Grand Prix Gold events. 

       



It was stated that Sindhu's lack of match practice was cited as the main reason for the withdrawal and with functions and felicitations taking up a lot of her time, her preparation for competitive action has been less than ideal, although she has returned to the courts at Gopichand's academy in Hyderabad.
