After a superb show put up by Kohli and Jadhav in the first oneday at Pune, the fans witnessed another visual feast that of Yuvraj Singh and Dhoni here at Cuttack's Baramati stadium. India pulling of to a record score of 381/6 against England in their limited fifty overs.
Earlier, The English captain Eoin Morgan won the toss and invited india to bat. The Men-In-Blue lost three early wickets in the form of Lokesh Rahul, Shikar Dhawan and captain Kohli within first 10 overs and was in a deep trouble before Yuvraj and Dhoni came to the rescue with a record partnership runs. Yuvraj singh looked at his best in the recent times. He scored superb 150 runs off 127 balls that included 21 boundaries and 3 massive sixes. yuvraj Singh last scored a century in the 2011 world cup.
On one hand Yuvraj took the game away from the visitors
while Dhoni played his free hand. Dhoni scored a 132 runs off 122 balls which
included 10 boundaries and 6 sixes. The first one day hero qnd who is talked
about now in India Kedar Jadhav looked good with 22 runs off 10 balls with 3 fours and a six. In England bowling Chris
Woakes took 4 wickets giving a way 60 runs in his quota of 10 overs.
With a huge target in front England started attacking right from the first ball. Jason Roy took the attack straight away. He scored 82 runs off 73 balls before falling to Jadeja. One down Batsman Joe Root along with Jason Roy took the game away with his 54 runs from 55 balls. He fell to Ashwin. Captain Morgan (102)took the responsibility leading English team but luck din't favor him as he was run out by Bumrah.
Moeen Ali was dropped in 40's by Jadeja
where he went on to score a half century. In the final overs England came close
to the win but wickets in quick sessions made it tough for the visitors scoring
366 runs for the loss of 8 wickets. Thus India winning by 15 runs. In Indian
bowling Ashwin took 3 wickets while Bumrah took 2 wickets. With this India won
the one day series with still a game left which will be played on January 22nd
at Kolkata's Eden Gardens.
