In a high voltage match England won by 5 runs over India thus carrying confidence to the T20 series. This Kracker Jack of a match, the English team held their nerve to win the third and final match though India took away the series.

India winning the toss put England into bat where the visitors scored 321 runs for the loss of 8 wickets in their limited 50 overs match. Opener Jason Roy as usual continued his form to score 65 runs of 56 balls that included a six and 10 boundaries before he was bowled by Jadeja.

 Jonny Bairstow who joined the party scored a half century. Captain Morgan looked good with his 43 runs in 44 balls. In the end it was Ben Stokes who carried the tempo and scored  unbeaten 57 runs that helped the England team to put a score of 321 runs. In Indian bowling Pandya took 3 wickets while Jadeja took 2 wickets.

Chasing a huge target of 322 runs Men-In-blue lost the openers Ajinkya Rahane and K.L.Rahul fell at an early stage. But it was Captain Kohli who played a captaincy knock with 55 runs before he fell to Stokes. yuvaraj Singh looked good with 45 runs. The first one day hero Kedar Jadhav once again took the responsibility till the last over. Jadav scored 90 runs of just 75 balls which included one six and 12 fours. He was joined by Hardik Pandya (56) the all rounder who earlier shined with the ball also put some valuable score.

It was the last over which had turned the match and took the game away from hosts. 16 runs needed of  the last over was bowled by Chris Woakes. Jadhav who was on strike sent the first ball for a six follwed by a four. Third and fourth  ball were dot balls. In the fifth ball Jadhav hit the ball in the air but only to fall in the safe hands of Sam Billings. Thus India finishing of with 316 runs for the lost of 9 wickets. Stokes was named the man of the match and Kedar Jadhav was presented with Man of the series.
