England captain Eoin Morgan’s half century ltook England to a easy victory against India in the first T-20 played at Kanpur’s Green Park stadium. Winning the toss the English team invited India to bat first. Openers K.L.Rahul and captain Virat Kohli fell a early prey to the England bowlers.

MS Dhoni played with composure to compile an unbeaten innings of 36.

The local boy Suresh Raina (34) looked good .He along with  Yuvraj (12) tried to keep the scoreboard moving. Yuvaraj fell to Plunkett. Soon after Raina became a victim for stokes. Then Dhoni (36) took the responsibility in building the innings. But there was no support from the other end where India scored 147 runs losing 7 wickets in their 20 overs.In England bowling  Moeen Ali took 2 wickets and rest of the bowlers took a wicket each.

Moeen Ali finished up with impressive figures of 2 for 21 off four overs.

 The target given by India looked to be very tiny for the English team. The openers took the attack right from the first ball. Jason Raoy and Sam Billings gave a good start putting a partnership of 42 runs for the first wicket before Roy (19) was bowled to Chahal.

Morgan and Root strung together a 83-run stand for the third wicket to propel England to a comfortable win.

 

Then came Joe root who scored unbeaten 46 runs and captain Eoin Morgan who scored a good looking Half century that includes 4 massive sixes. Morgan scored 51 runs  before falling to Parvez Rasool. After this the formalities were completed. Thus England winning by 7 wickets.
