India (392/4) beat Sri Lanka (251/8) by 141 runs in the second ODI match in the ongoing Sri Lanka tour of India, as Rohit Sharma scored a stunning double century, sealing the match in India's favor.

While beginning his innings on a careful and focused manner, Rohit slowly progressed his innings in a watchful manner, scoring his first century off 115 balls, while launching an array of shots thrashing Lankan bowlers all over the Chandigarh ground, to score his second century in just 37 balls. While Shreyas Iyer and Shikar Dhawan laid initial platforms with composed half centuries, Rohit powered India to a solid 392 with his powerful 3rd double ton.

The chase began on a paltry note, as Lankans lost 2 wickets for just 41 runs in 10 overs, but was rescued by a belligerent knock from the middle order by Angelo Mathews whose impressive knock of a ton under pressure took Lankans to a respectable total. However, his unbeaten ton Was in vain, as the asking rate went out of control, as Bumrah claimed 2 wickets, Chahal claimed 3, and debutant Washington Sundar claimed his maiden wicket in his 9th ball. With this win, India leveled the ODI series in style.
