Indian Skipper Virat Kohli kept on complaining about the damp outfield to Umpire Michael Gough and as the umpire responded to him, he showed his rage by throwing the ball into the ground aggressively.

“Monday’s incident happened in the 25th over of South Africa’s second innings when Kohli continued to complain to umpire Michael Gough about the ball being affected by a damp outfield following a rain delay, before throwing the ball into the ground in an aggressive manner,” said ICC in its media release. This has been a black mark as Kohli showed dissent and breaches the code of conduct. Now, he will lose 25% of his match fee and also receive a demerit for breaching Level 1 of ICC Code of Conduct. But this is not a big deal for a man who earns in Crores per month.

Meanwhile, India has named Dinesh Karthik as replacement for injured Wriddhiman Saha. India is currently struggling to keep the series alive and India need 252 more runs on the final day to secure a victory.
