Despite a heart-crushing defeat against South Africa, Indian Captain Kohli can feel proud as he was named the ICC Cricketer of the Year and he also bagged the Top honors for ODI players in the ICC Annual Awards.

ICC which noticed the period between September 21, 2016, to December 31, 2017, found Kohli scoring 2203 Test runs at 77.80 Average and 1818 ODI runs at 82.63 Average. His 299 T20I runs came with a strike rate of 153. Kohli who spoke to the press said, "It really means a lot to win both the Trophies.


I won back in 2012, but this is the first time I am winning the Garfield Sobers Trophy and it's a huge honor for me. This is the biggest of all in World Cricket and Two Indians getting it back-to-back makes it more special."
