The IPL bidding is over and just 4 franchises filled their quota of 25 players. Only Chennai completed 25 player squad with still 6.5 Crores in their purses. Kolkata Knight Riders are the only team to go with 19 player squad. For the first time, a Nepal player Sandeep Lamichhane has made it to the IPL.
4 players from Afghanistan also made it to the cut. Except for CSK, all franchises spent more than 78 Crores. Some expected names made it big and some unexpected things happened just like Malinga went Unsold. Some big names who went unsold in this IPL 2018 are, Guptill, Simmons, Amla, Marsh, Morgan, Irfan, Bhatia, McClenaghan, Zampa, Malinga and Ishant Sharma.
