Once again Team batting second has won the Nidahas Trophy. Rohit Sharma who won the toss opted to bat in a Rain-Hit day as the match was reduced to 19 overs. India beat Sri Lanka by 6 wickets with 10 balls to spare and now India is at the top of the table with one more game to play.

Shardul Thakur has finished with career-best figures of 4 for 27 and he also grabbed the Man of the Match. Kusal Mendis constructed the innings with a solid 55 and helped Sri Lanka to get 94 runs in first 10 overs. However, India bounced back and in the next 9 overs they managed just 58 runs and ended at 152 for 9.

Manish Pandey and Dinesh Karthik ensured India reaches safely as the pair added 68 runs for the unbroken 5th wicket partnership. Earlier, Suresh Raina's fierce 27 of 15 helped India to get the momentum and that took the pressure off Manish Pandey. KL Rahul also became the first Indian batsmen to get out by Hit Wicket.
